Compare logo sources

Find the right source for company logos, brand data, or logo research.

There are good reasons to choose an established logo service. If you need many identifier types, rich brand data, or a full developer platform, Logo.dev, Brandfetch, or Context.dev may be a better fit than Brandmarks today. Simple Icons is a strong option for SVG icons, and 1000 Logos is a useful resource for logo history.

Brandmarks is an early-stage alternative with a particular focus: company logos that work together in a consistent layout. Its catalog pairs full logos and square marks, with matching canvases and treatments for light, dark, and brand-colored surfaces.

Find the comparison for your project

The individual guides link to each provider’s documentation and explain the practical differences.

Where Brandmarks may be enough

You are building a stock watchlist, preparing a report, or arranging a customer grid. You know the companies you need and want their logos to follow the same spacing and color rules. Brandmarks gives you a set of artwork to start from, with public SVG and PNG files you can try without an account.

See the same companies on light, dark, and brand-colored backgrounds, then check whether they are in the catalog.

What to expect at this stage

Brandmarks serves an existing collection, so coverage comes first. Its API is in invite-only beta; invited accounts can manage their keys through the account portal. Webhooks, open signup, and several identifier types are not available. Public static files have hosting limits.

If those limits rule it out for your project, the other services are worth your attention. If the artwork fits and your needs are modest, the quick start is a straightforward place to begin.
