The beta resolver accepts supported current tickers, share-class variants such as BRK.B and BRK-B, and recorded former tickers. Preserve exchange suffixes, such as 7974.T. Coverage depends on the catalog; there is no universal exchange lookup.

Use company data to confirm the returned identity before persisting a match. Former symbols and normalized spellings are conveniences, not a guarantee against collisions or ticker reuse.

Static filenames differ

For public files, use the exact library key, including case. Consult the manifest instead of replacing every dash with a dot. An API symbol and a storage filename are not interchangeable.
