Brandmarks vs Brandfetch
Brandfetch offers extensive brand tools. Brandmarks may suit a smaller project with a defined company list.
Brandfetch is a strong choice for products that need logos alongside colors, fonts, and company information. It also has a dedicated Logo API, so you can use it for images without adopting a broader enrichment workflow.
Brandmarks has a smaller focus: a collection of company logos prepared to sit together in an interface, spreadsheet, or presentation. If your companies are in the catalog, its consistent templates and public file URLs may be all you need.
What both services offer
Brandfetch supports multiple artwork types, light/dark themes, and SVG for its logo and symbol variants. Its Logo API accepts domains, tickers, ISINs, and crypto symbols and uses a client ID. These are useful options for applications with varied inputs. Brandfetch Logo API documentation.
Brandmarks also supplies SVG, full logos, and square marks. The reason to consider it is how that artwork is prepared and accessed.
Where Brandmarks may suit you
A common frame for every company. Full logos use a 2000 × 1080 canvas with a 100 px margin. Square marks use 1080 × 1080 with a 200 px margin. You can size their containers consistently while preserving each logo’s proportions.
Matched treatments for your interface. Use color artwork, white on a dark surface, solid black on a light surface, or a primary-color panel with contrasting artwork. View the same companies in each treatment.
Public files for a known list. Copy an SVG or PNG URL from the catalog without creating an account. For supported ticker spellings, the manifest provides the file mapping. Dynamic lookup and company data use a separate beta API with keys.
A recurring portfolio report or a fixed customer grid is a good place to try this approach. Check the artwork at your actual display size; logo shapes naturally differ in visual weight.
When to choose Brandfetch
Start with Brandfetch if you need its additional identifiers, richer brand records, or developer platform. Its dedicated Logo API is also a reasonable choice for a simple image integration. A working Brandfetch setup does not need to change just because you only use one part of it.
Brandmarks is still in invite-only API beta. It has no dedicated ISIN or crypto resolver, no self-service key management, and no webhook service. Public static files have host-level traffic limits, and PNG requests select stored sizes rather than generating arbitrary dimensions.
Try the artwork first
Find a few companies in the catalog and place their logos in your layout. If the collection fits, follow the quick start. When moving an existing integration, map artwork types, sizing, themes, and missing-image behavior explicitly; the two URL formats are different.
